Methyl Tetrahydrophthalic Anhydride (MTHPA) is a versatile liquid anhydride hardener. The product remains liquid in cold environments (typical pour point -20c to -15c). It provides unique characteristics to epoxy cured materials. MTHPA often is the product of choice in high voltage and temperature resistance environments. The characteristics of MTHPA also provide for excellent flexibility and strength properties. Markets using MTHPA include marine, composites, windmill blade coatings, construction, insulating, medical and sporting equipment. 

Application:

Epoxy resin curing agents, solvent free paints, laminated boards, epoxy adhesives, etc. With the many advantages, e.g. long-term storage at room temperature, low freezing point, small volatilization and low toxicity, MTHPA is widely used in electric machines, dry-type transformers, high voltage switches, mutual inductance equipments, horizontal output transformers, household appliances capacitors, power capacitors and resistances, and the impregnating, casting and wrapping of integrated circuits.
